Mowin' Mama

We finally bought a lawn mower!
This is very exciting to me. I hate having an unkept lawn.
(A Big Thank You to our Neighbors who always let us borrow theirs)
So today I spent some time mowing!
I actually thought it was pretty fun.

Here she is all nice and shiny, ready for her debut.

While I mowed, Bo weed wacked, and Brodie sat on the porch like a good little boy the entire time watching us. He loves being outside.

Here's Brodie infront of our nicely manicured yard after our evening walk.

This picture doesn't have anything to do with the post - I just thought Brodie looked really cute.

A Little Lassen Part II

Brodie sittin' by the campfire

Hiking on the Spatter Cone Trail

The highlight of my day... The PCT! (Pacific Crest Trail)

The PCT is a trail that extends from the border of Mexico to the border of Canada. It is 2600 miles long and goes through California, Oregon, and Washington.
It has always been a dream of mine to hike the entire PCT.
Today I set foot on the PCT for the first time in my life and walked about .1 miles.... only 2599.9 miles to go! I'll get there someday.

A Little Lassen

This weekend our little family is camping! Well if you can call it that... does it count if you have a trailer, electricity, water, cable tv and internet?? Well Bo makes a fire at night, so I'm counting it!

Today we did a lot of hiking

This is where we stopped to have our lunch.

What a Ham

Subway Cave

Brodie was not a fan when we first went into this cave - there was zero visibility without flashlights and it was really cold!
Luckily after some comforting, he just fell asleep.

The cave was a lot of fun. It was a tube formed by a river of lava.

What's been going on...

A lot of fun things have been happening around here, but we haven't been the picture takers that we usually are. Here's what I have though.

Last weekend Bo's sister Adrienne, her husband Ronnie, and two kids Jake and Evan came to visit us!

It was so much fun, I really wish that they lived closer.

Jakey really liked playing the Wii

We tried flying kites, but all of a sudden the wind died down as soon as we went outside. This was really annoying because it is ALWAYS windy here.

Here is a cute picture of Evan trying to find his way through the grass though after his kite!

Adrienne cut my hair - Thanks Adrienne, I love it!

On Monday we had a big BBQ with all the local family for Family Home Evening. It was so much fun. Adrienne surprised Ronnie with a graduation cake (Ronnie and Adrienne were on their way to New Hampshire after they left our house for Ronnie's graduation - He got a doctorate in Physical Therapy, what a stud!) and it was very tasty. We didn't get any pictures of the graduate, but here are Buddy and Gator graduating.

Gator Jr. Came home to hang out with his dad until we find him a forever home (so if anyone's interested... let me know!)

My Aunt and Uncle came up from the LA area to go to my cousin's CHP graduation in Sacremento. They pulled their rig up so we went to the KOA one evening to visit them. I didn't get any pictures with them but...

Here is Brodie waiting to go to dinner

Me, My Mom, Brodie, and my little cousin Joe

and Bo with Brodie... don't mind the large man behind Bo...

Later on in the week,

I found a really big snake in my flower garden that about gave me a heart attack

You can't see it very well, but it was really scary, even though it wasn't a dangerous one.

So that's all I have, sorry there aren't better pictures!

LOST

So it is almost 1:00 am -- my baby has been sleeping for 2 hours now -- I have to wake up early to go watch the twins tomorrow -- but I just can't sleep! My mind is whirring with the season finale of Lost.
It was amazing!! I knew it was going to be good... but man!
Also I would like to state (and Bo can verify) that I called that the real Locke was in that metal crate. Yeah, I'm pretty proud of that. I never call things right.
There have been a lot of questions answered, but I just keep coming up with more and more. Small questions... like what is Frank a good candidate for?? They wouldn't really kill Juliet and seperate her from Sawyer would they?? (I was bawling as she was saying I Love You and started to fall)
And big theories... like I'm guessing that when Juliet set off the bomb... we didn't see an explosion, but we did see a bright light... could this have sent Sawyer, Hurley, Jin, Miles, Sayid, Kate, and Juliet back into the present time?? After all Jacob did say, "They are coming."
I can't believe that their destiny would be that their plane would land in L.A. without a hitch. What would be the point of everything that's gone on so far?
I would also like to know more about Richard's story and how and why did Jacob do what he did to him. Did Richard come on that, I'm assuming slave trade ship? What's going on with Desmond? What part does Wittmore really play in this whole web of things? Where's Clair and Christian? Will Jacob and the real Locke some how be brought back to life? I want the real Locke back! Who is this new character who brought Locke's body to Richard, etc. etc.....
All you Ben Lovers - he is EVIL. He's had so many chances to make good choices. Time for him to go. I've tried to get sucked into liking him... mostly because I know that Jennie really likes his character and because he has moments of goodness, but he is too easily tricked by the devil. I wonder if that's because of his experience in the temple... which reminds me, I'd also like to find out what happened with that.
Glad to see that Vincent, Bernard, and Rose made it and are happy campers.
Brodie's been growing up way too fast, so I've really wanted time to slow down... but now I'm thinking 2010 won't come soon enough...
