One thing on Bo's Ohio Bucket List was to take the kids to an Indians Baseball Game. It would also be the kids first MLB game. The Indians were trying to get to the World Series and it was a big deal around here! Every game day the elementary school would have a spirit day and everyone was supposed to wear their Indians gear - this place is proud of their baseball team! Home game tickets were expensive and hard to come by, but if you know Bo, lack of tickets won't stop him. (IE: no tickets landed him in the middle of a cage fight right before we met and also got us into a Weezer concert for free)
The crew drove into the city, which was also the kids first experience there and they loved it!
The next step was to find tickets!
The lady at the ticket office wasn't able to help them, so they resorted to cute kid begging:
Turns out it is illegal to do this right next to the stadium, haha! And the security guard eventually made them leave, but first pointed them to the scalping street down the block.
They found a scalper who had 3 tickets, but they needed 4 and there was another group who needed 3 tickets, so they passed on them.
It was looking like they weren't going to make it in, so Bo took them to some famous ice cream place to get a little treat.
They were going to head back to the car, but decided to try for tickets one more time. The game was coming to a close, so they thought maybe they'd be able to find someone leaving and ask for their tickets. The only problem is they had to find someone who actually kept their tickets that they had printed out instead of mobile tickets. They ended up finding a family who was able to give them 4 tickets and they made it in!
Bo bought the boys some Indians hats and the kids loved the experience!
The Indians won and there were bonus fireworks at the end which was apparently so cool because they were super close.
