Rykie Bear Turns 5!

My little Ryker.  Ryker is just awesome!  He is so funny and cute and has really grown up over the last year.  He played soccer for the first time and did really well at it!

He also barely missed the kindergarten cut off, so he gets to do another year of preschool.  It's more of a pre-k preschool though and he goes three days a week.  He absolutely LOVES it!  His teacher is on maternity leave right now, so he is sad that he has such a big Christmas break.

Ryker is my little buddy and he has been such a great big brother lately.  It took him awhile to warm up to Mari and actually play with her, but now they get along really well.  There's still a lot of whining with those two, but they both love to imagine together and have a lot of fun playing with each other.

Mari had a little singing/dancing class every Thursday in the upstairs room in the gym.  So while she did her thing, Ryker and I were able to do open gym and it was a lot of fun.  Ryker and I don't get to spend a lot of one on one time with each other, so we both really looked forward to it.

Ryker loves animals - especially poultry!  He was loving this Turkey when we went to the bird farm with his Cloverbuds 4-h group.

And on October 12th, my little guy turned 5!  Since turning 5, Ryker's confidence in himself has skyrocketed.  He believes in himself more and is willing to try more things, simply by being 5 now!

Ryker had a plants vs zombies birthday party.  Here is his pinata.

I won a free party at the gymnastics through a giveaway they were having, which was really nice!  Brodie had his 5th birthday party at the gymnastics, so I think it will have to be a tradition that that's where the big "I'm 5!" birthday parties are held.  He had lots of friends show up, got tons of presents, had some brain cupcakes, and loved being the spotlight!

We love you Ryker!
